Saharawi Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, declared on Friday in Addis Ababa that the Saharawi Republic (RASD) and Malawi have decided to establish diplomatic relations.
“Within the spirit of serving the values and principles of the constitutive act of the African Union and its Charter, and as a result to the meeting between the Saharawi President, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz and the President of Malawi, Mr. Bingu Wa Mutharika, RASD and Malawi decided to reinforce their bilateral relations and raise their bilateral relations to an ambassadorial level, conforming to the long history of friendship, brotherhood and solidarity that had always existed between the two African countries”, a joint communiqu� by the two governments indicates.
